Logistics
location: Tczew, Poland 
 
Primary function:
  • Responsibility for Production Departments to produce on time to meet business requirements – develop and deliver an executable production schedule to manufacturing considering capacity of cells and level loading of orders through the specific planning period while ensuring that customer demand is met. Communicating priorities to the manufacturing and inventory control areas in an effort to meet the start and complete dates of the manufacturing orders.
  • Schedule production lines through the use of the MRP system. Down load necessary data from data base and generate shop floor schedules. Drive inventory reduction programs.
Essential function:
  • Plan work order parts requirements on daily basis. Accumulate material information regarding: rough material status, work-in-process material, and part usage on a weekly basis.
  • Preparation of short and long term production schedules. Analyzing, controlling and monitoring the final assembly and material inventory levels to fulfill the planned schedule on time. Reschedule system as required to maintain continuity of workflow. Communicate schedule changes and updates to suppliers. Communicates customer requirements to the people involved.
  • Provide rough materials shortage information for all planners.
  • Production Departments capacity analysis.
  • Stock/Inventory optimization. Manages inventory levels scheduling properly customer deliveries.
  • Gathers requirements and on hand balances from download (Planned usage). Gathers daily average usage, less past due service schedule requirements from planning report (Current usage).
  • Serve on special assignments and projects assigned by the material manager / planning supervisor. Ensures all schedules meet customer requirements and monthly production scheduled project.
  • Taking part in the SIOP process in order to understand and reduce the impact of major fluctuations in sales demand or manufacturing capabilities in production schedules.
  • Implement and manage pull production techniques for manufactured parts (Kanban, Min-Max, etc.). Maintain and update all associated materials processes, utilizing lean tools, where appropriate. Process development and measurement to ensure continuous improvement. Monitor and maintain Kanban system.
  • Drive actions related to achieve optimal inventory level  on planned departments. Work closely with internal customers to meet changing needs, provide materials & services as required. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field.
  • 1-3 years of production/material planning experience.
  • Production scheduling experience.
  • Special emphasis on knowing the ERP and data base systems
  • Knowledge of working with production planning processes.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to proactively schedule and forecast to maintain delivery performance
  • Organization and time management skills. Strong problem solving skills, out-of-the box thinking
  • Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management
  • Ability to work effectively within teams. Ability to communicate effectively with other plant function
  • Understanding of Eaton Materials Strategy.
  • Thorough knowledge of Eaton business processes & systems.
  • MS Office knowledge.
  • English skills.
