Job Description

The Eaton Aerospace Group has an opening for an electrical system marketing manager.  This role leads Eaton’s strategic activity related to More Electric Aircraft (MEA) and Hybrid / Electrical propulsion developments. It includes engagement with the customer engineering team in the electrical space, understanding and analysis of industry new projects-including engagement with industry key players,and providing recommendations and guidance to the Eaton Aerospace Senior Leadership team. This manager will work closely with our engineering team and will coordinate collaboration with Eaton Electrical group.
This person will also provide supervision of a team of  2 or 3 marketing leads whose focus is early engagement on new programs for Eaton Fuel, Hydraulic, Actuation and Engine Solutions.
The specific functions of this position include the following:
  • Develops full technical knowledge of the industry trends related to the evolution for More Electric Aircraft and new electric propulsion / power plant.
  • Provides market analysis of the Aerospace Electrical domain
  • Generates strategic and action plans to develop Eaton Aerospace business
  • Liaises / coordinates with Eaton Electrical to transfer technology and expertise to Eaton Aerospace
  • Ensures internal alignment with major stakeholders and decision makers
  • Manages a team of “system” specialists who provide technical expertise and support for major / strategic new business capture (Fuel, Hydraulic, Actuation and Engine)
  • Coordinates strategic selling activities across all Eaton divisions for the platforms or opportunities identified as “Strategic” by Eaton Aerospace Senior Leadership Team


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of electrical systems engineering/design experience in which 5+ years’ experience in Aerospace. Other experience can include sales, engineering and/or marketing field.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, writing skills and presentation skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering and or MBA from an accredited institution
  • Excellent understanding of the Aerospace Industry and Aircraft Systems
  • Established relationships with global OEMs a major plus
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership skills that can drive teams to outperformance
  • Possess significant initiative and ability to develop, implement, and achieve ambitious stretch goals
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
  • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Business Software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Good communications skills – both verbal and written
  • Familiarity / experience in aircraft systems design in general (not only electrical)
  • Business minded: understanding of financials, forward thinking (evolving business model,..)
  • Deep / strong technical knowledge of aircraft electrical system (design, certification process, interface with other aircraft systems,…)-(required education in electrical)
