Eaton’s Power Distribution Control Assembly Division is currently seeking a
Senior Product Engineer to join our team. This position is based in Wilsonville, OR
 
The Senior Product Engineer  will execute administrative and engineering/technical functions in support of the goals established for the Power Center’s manufacture of high quality Power Distribution equipment & aftermarket products; Primary focus on the mechanical engineering of our products.

  • You will prepare Engineering drawings for team to ensure these items are manufactured on time to meet customer commitments
  • You will act as backup to the Power Distribution Sales Engineer in the product line to provide technical support to the customers and engineers and maintain good working relationships with customers, distributors, Eaton sales personnel and internal plant personnel in support of a quality customer service effort.
  • You will act as technical resource in support of our Engineering teams and production.
       Stay abreast of Eaton technical product developments through training or other means
       Perform all applicable POM uploads and changes
       You will maintain engineering schedule to ensure drawings are released and parts
        are ordered in  time to support the Production build schedule

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
    • 2 years of applicable engineering experience
    • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
    • 2 years of experience designing and applying power distribution and control equipment
    • Experience with Power Distribution Equipment
    • Experience with Eaton applications (Bidman and VISTA)
 
      Preferred qualifications:
 
    • Ability to problem-solve and analyze product application issues and drive
    • them to root  cause resolution
    • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
    • Ability to prioritize jobs and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
            
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with internal peers and customers
  • Must be a strong team player that enjoys a fast paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Knowledge of basic electricity
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Inventor knowledge
  • You will prepare drawings/MI’s for shop personnel to assemble power distribution
  • equipment and aftermarket products and provide technical support for
  • customers and plant personnel
  • Electrical & mechanical design using AutoCAD
  • Support Warranty Technician and investigate warranty requests to determine
  • root cause and solutions for customers
