Quality Engineering Technician II - 1st Shift

Eaton’s Electrical Division has an opening for a Quality Engineering Technician II to work 1st Shift. This positon will be based in Fayetteville, NC.

  • You will support the analysis and solution of quality problems, processing/disposition of non-conforming material, preparation of inspection plans and instructions, training of inspectors under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors (if applicable).
  • You will lead/support/assist Quality/Warranty Supervisor and Engineer in continuous improvement of Quality process, including performing audits, validation calibration compliance and creating Quality documents in alignment with Quality Management System/EQS requirements.
  • You will read documentation to make complete fact-based decisions & root cause analysis and to research job folders and identify components used in the assembly.
  • You will assist with Field Service Actions as needed.
  • You will assist with warranty claim processing.


Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently live within 50 miles of the Fayetteville NC facility will be considered.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and/or experience of leading projects, root cause identification, identifying problems and reaching resolutions expeditiously.
  • Facilitation Skills.
  • Technical Writing Ability.
  • Strong verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Operating Knowledge of Test and Measurement Equipment.
  • Previous experience working with test data management systems
