Job Description

The primary function of a Regional Manager, Project Management is to manage the project team and channels in addition to products and product applications while growing sales in the assigned market; drive the Project Management Process and its associated elements throughout the organization to ensure accurate, complete and timely data with which fact based decisions and evaluations can be made; and drive financial improvements and customer satisfaction on projects, through continuous improvements of Project Management processes by field based Project Managers and Project Engineers.
 
The primary functions include (but are not limited to)
  • Responsibility for the Commercial Construction and/or Industrial market segment sales for the zones supported;
  • Supervises and provides training for employees on project team;
  • Communicate the vision for the Project Management within Eaton to ensure that the direction of the organization is clearly understood;
  • Build relationships with product line management to assist in the development of marketing and product line sales and pricing strategies;
  • Develop effective “management to management” relationship with critical customers identified by Project Managers and Sales as appropriate to drive growth and build value for Eaton;
  • Actively participate in the Project Management leadership team, contributing creative ideas, thoughtful criticism, timely reports and updates, and a positive approach to the challenges presented.
 
Essential job tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Ensure integrity and competency of systems to comply with corporate, division, and organization policies, guidelines, and procedures;
  • Drive productivity growth within the group utilizing EBE principles and electronic tools to support efficient and profitable business growth;
  • Support District Manager in formulating a strategic plan;
  • Attract, hire, develop, and retain top quality Project Managers and Project Engineers who excel at providing customer value through the execution of processes, technical and commercial savvy, and effective relationship building with customers;
  • Technical product change and pricing negotiation, configuration changes, and approval and construction drawing preparation and changes;
  • Critical customer interface and relationship building while managing financials including Z accounts and customer claims.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical industry project management, field sales or marketing
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Master’s degree
  • 10 years of experience in Field Sales or Marketing
  • PMP Certification
  • People management experience

  • Capable of continuously growing and developing current customer relationships while still focusing on building new relationships with customers
  • Knowledge of Eaton products, services, markets, channels, and competitors
  • Possesses presentation, training, planning, and value added selling skills
