Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Shawnee, Oklahoma facility.
 
The Production Manager is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the production activities and resources of manufacturing operations per established practices and/or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations while keeping safety first. This position establishes and maintains a positive employee relations environment by adherence to Eaton’s Values, Ethics, and Philosophies. Additionally, the Manager clearly communicates expectations and consistently holds self and employees accountable for performance.

  • You will provide direction and guidance to supervisors and technicians.
  • You will generate a highly motivated and committed workforce with emphasis on the development of skills needed to accomplish safety, quality, on-time delivery, and product cost goals.
  • You will proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment  maintenance and rule enforcement.
  • You will coordinate, leverage and appropriately utilize resources with other managers or coaches such as maintenance, materials, scheduling, logistics and engineering, to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes and meet external and internal customer demands.
  • You will act as a business partner by planning, initiating, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business System (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as ELS (Eaton Lean System) and 6S.
  • You will promote a quality culture by demonstrating customer focus and regularly communicating customer feedback to employees in order to facilitate collaborative problem solving, drive continuous quality improvement and ensure alignment/compliance with industry standards. When quality issues arise this position has the authority to stop the press if needed to conduct root cause analysis.
  • You will act to positively communicate the policies, practices and changes of management while fairly and consistently applying policies and practices to all employees.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lean manufacturing in a production/manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing/operations environment.
  • Experience utilizing data/metrics to drive business decisions.

  • Ability to provide and foster effective on-going communication at all levels of the organization.
  • Good understanding and positive support of standard employee and administrative policies, practices and legal requirements pertaining to business operations.
