Field Sales Engineer - Hydraulic

Job Description



You will join our Hydraulic Division. You will be responsible for sales and demand creation primarily in the Netherlands, although you may also be required to serve clients based in other European locations. We are looking for a professional with sound technical understanding of Hydraulic systems (especially in Power & Controls), and would benefit from successful experience in selling technical solutions to renowned organisations. You will be expected to travel around 50% of your time.


- Develop and maintain customer relationships to increase sales for the entire hydraulic portfolio
- Develop a market strategy to expand Eaton Hydraulics Power & Control products market share
- Engage with OEMs to develop business from a platform and specification perspective
- Negotiate and conclude orders in accordance with Eaton’s product and price regulations and terms
- Prepare product presentations
- Ensure personal contact through frequent visits and participate to exhibitions with partners and customers
- Prepare offers according to customer needs taking into account cost-effectiveness and feasibility
- Oversee the entire sales process to ensure effective customer service
- Identify short and medium term sales potentials
- Continuously compare current sales compared to plan and take corrective action if required
- Monitor competition and take action to strengthen existing market share and sales growth
- Provide regular reporting and create forecasts



- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- Sound understanding of main hydraulic systems, Power & Controls specifically
- Successful commercial experience selling technical solutions to renowned organisations
- Fluent English
