Job Description

Eaton’s Fluid Conveyance Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Middlesex, North Carolina facility.
 
The Manufacturing Manager will plan, organize, direct, and control all facets of the manufacturing operations to ensure the alignment with safety, quality, cost and delivery goals for the plant. The Manufacturing Manager must have a continuous improvement mindset while overseeing day-to-day activities in order to achieve or exceed daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly metric expectations.

  • You will drive the company's vision and mission by reinforcing Ethics, Values and Quality policies throughout the site.
  • You will proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcement.
  • You will plan, direct and control the implementation of continuous improvement and capital projects to maintain and upgrade equipment, tooling, processes, facilities and utilities.
  • You will provide support to direct reports to discuss expectations, progress of work, and resolution of problems to ensure that the site operational goals are met.
  • You will partner with supply chain to ensure continuous alignment between demand forecasts and load/capacity plans to optimize schedule execution.
  • You will communicates openly and effectively with employees, recognizing and rewarding employees for results and teamwork consistent with Eaton’s high expectations.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing operations experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive or aerospace industry.
  • Experience in AS9100 C/D, AS7112 and ISO14001.
  • Experience with extrusion and industrial braiding equipment/processes.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Financial and business acumen.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to work simultaneously through prioritization and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.).
  • Proven record of motivating, engaging and developing direct and indirect reports.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and MS Outlook.
