Job Description

Eaton has an opening for an OEM Account Manager located within 80 miles of Guelph, Toronto or Burlington Ontario. This role will assist in the develop, implement and execute a regional OEM Sales strategy for customer management in order to drive profitable growth in targeted market segments with specific customer accounts
Essential Functions include:
  • Develop plans for support and growth of existing accounts.
  • Coordinate communication between Eaton internal teams and Customer
  • Support negotiations of LTA’s, MOU’s, Pricing agreements
  • Maintain effective communication with global customers, worldwide regional teams, product divisions and the leadership team.
  • Maintain and expand existing relationships between Eaton and Customer
  • Maintain up-to-date “C360 sales funnel” of customer projects and programs.
  • Proactive communication of customer needs for future product development
  • Establish annual “new business growth” sales plan, manage progress and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct department sales meetings at least monthly.
  • Monitor customer scorecard measures and initiate appropriate actions to continuously improve ratings.
  • Provide commercial leadership, cross functional collaboration and oversight to customer specific VAVE cost savings initiatives.
  • Develop and submit annual sales forecast in support of the Profit Plan.
  • Develop warranty, delivery, and quality analysis for customer presentations.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 3 years minimum experience in Hydraulics industry in sales, product management, tech support, or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years working for Eaton.
  • Candidates must reside within 80 KM of Guelph, Toronto, or Burlington, ON to be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years minimum experience in OEM sales
  • Bachelor’s or 4 year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
  • Certified Fluid Power specialist
  • MBA
Position Criteria:
  • Technical knowledge of hydraulic principles and our specific products is essential to effectively manage in this position
  • Specific knowledge of sales “tools” such as (but not limited to) Karass Negotiation training, “Strategic Selling” and “Large Account Management Program” principles and the ability to implement them
  • Multi-tasking skills due to the number of customer programs, issues and initiatives that may be occurring simultaneously
  • A comprehensive understanding of the customers’ business and served markets.
  • Communication and team leadership skills to influence and motivate team members, customers, and divisional personnel to achieve marketing and sales objectives
  • Must be professional and ethical in all aspects of the business
