Job Description

Eaton’s Fluid Conveyance Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Mountain Home, Arkansas facility.
 
This Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and management of the plant’s overall Manufacturing Engineering activities to support manufacturing operations. Provides the necessary technical direction to improve productivity, process/product improvement and reduction of overall product cost, while meeting production schedules. Also serves as liaison between Engineering Division and plant’s engineering.

  • You will support initiatives to improve EHS culture; Participate in a EHS team (Ergo, Safety, etc.).
  • You will compose Capital Appropriation Requests to support emerging and existing technologies manage plant capital plan.
  • You will partner with Maintenance vendor to ensure optimum operating conditions of equipment using best practices in Predictive and Preventive Maintenance & TPM.
  • You will authorize & approve all assembly, calibration, test procedures, maintenance programs, PFMEA's, method sheets and work instructions to ensure all processes optimization.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives by leading cost out events and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • You will evaluate current talent to develop and increase technical knowledge to build organizational capability.
  • You will facilitate training of personnel as required and develop and nurture key engineering talent.
  • You will support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.    

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience with ergonomic design for manufacturing processes.  

 

Position Criteria:

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing, six sigma, DOE, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
