Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety/Facilities Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Greenwood, SC facility.  
 
The EHS/Facilities Manager is a member of the Greenwood Leadership Team and supports the safety, health and environmental policies of the Greenwood plant in conjunction with the Eaton Corporation MESH guidelines to drive a Zero Incident Culture for the purpose of making the facilities a safe and productive place to work. In this role, you will maintain compliance with all local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. Provide facilities maintenance and engineering support to manage the maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to the facility, property, and grounds and facility. Manage the maintenance, wastewater treatment, and chemical management with the organization’s third party vendors (ATS, Houghton).

  • You will manage and direct the site in achieving EHS targets & goals. 
  • You will prepare and submit required Federal, State and local governmental reports in regard to hazardous waste disposal, air emissions and plant waste discharge.
  • You will coordinate the waste management and contingency plans, maintain their accuracy and ensure compliance to all applicable permits.
  • You will manage the facilities operating systems (electrical distribution, process cooling water, compressed air generation and distribution, steam generation and distribution, HVAC, fire protection, security system, and facility lighting) and coordinate facilities maintenance activities associated with proper operation and repair of said systems. 
  • You will coordinate the installation of all facility related capital equipment projects and prepare capital appropriation requests, providing input to facility capital plans.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 3 years of EHS experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS Management role.
  • Certified Safety Manager Certification.
  • Waste water management experience.
  • Experience with workers’ compensation.
