Eaton’s Power Distribution & Control Assemblies Division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Omaha NE facility.
Develop test equipment & traceability systems for production of existing and new connected lighting products. The incumbent will study the specifications and identify the actual test methods, materials, fixtures and equipment required. The incumbent will be ultimately responsible for all hardware/software engineering details associated with the testing performed at this facility and others as needed to fulfill customer obligations while maintaining the highest levels of safety.

Essential Functions:
  • Establish department compliance with plant quality policy.
  • Measure the productivity of the department by using volume and accuracy by individual and team.
  • Provide technical assistance to all plant activities, and customer visits, which interface with Medium Voltage Switchgear Assemblies..
  • Establish strategic direction for C.O.E. and C.O.D. departments.
  • Provide technical and application assistance to field sales.
  • Advise in the resolution of quality issues related to C.O.E./C.O.D. work
  • Provide technical interface to other divisions providing products and services to the Omaha Power Center.
  • Establish and document policy and procedural issues for C.O.E. and C.O.D. activities.
  • Direct sales department to obtain orders requiring shorter than normal lead times or unique/non-standard applications.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications: (Not required to be qualified for the role)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience in Engineer to Order Electrical Assemblies
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Operational Excellence experience (Lean, Continuous Improvement, etc)
