EIIC EPG B Line Division has an opening for Engineering Manager, Structural Support Solutions to lead & manage an engineering team on design and development of Structural Solutions product range. He/she will be responsible for driving a culture of innovation, learning & continuous improvement while executing the projects which include NPI, NTI, VAVE and sustaining engineering projects. He/ she will be responsible for creating & implementing the roadmap for developing capabilities in line with the strategic plan over the next few years. He/she will be directly responsible for building organizational capability and required technical expertise in mechanical design. He/She will be responsible for hiring, retaining and grooming talent to deliver high performance.

•Provides leadership for the team to meet its short and long term business goals.
•Drive organic growth for Eaton by deploying the product design engineering skills and demonstrate innovation leadership to provide solutions for customer applications
•Drive the implementation of strategic actions related to identified strategic focus area – Structural Support Solutions.
•Drive predictive approach and analytical problem solving methodologies to improve the NPI/NTI and Current Product Engineering effectiveness as measured by the Business KPI’s
•Identifies, develops and grows new opportunities in products and technologies.
•Work closely with global and local teams to develop and implement growth strategies and technical roadmaps for proactively influencing and providing system level solutions
•Responsible for developing the technical and organizational talent to drive the objectives for B Line products by using relevant processes for talent acquisition, performance management, OCA, TCA etc.
•Manage and develop people: identify, attract and develop key engineering talent for the organization.
•Champion continuous improvement through engineering processes (DFMEA, DFSS, etc,) Eaton corporate processes (PreLaunch, PROLaunch, APEX, EBE, 8D etc), and applicable governmental processes (ITAR, EAR), and patent related activities.
•Strategic Plan targets – progress on focus areas and technology roadmap
•Profit Plan budgets
•NPI and NTI Performance – Realized Business wins/Launches, End-End, Milestones, activity OTD, XRL maturity and quality performance of work deliveries
•ECM Performance - ECO OTD, Cycle time, Productivity

Required: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of product design and development for electrical applications with experience in leadership and people management.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity, and self-direction is required. Proven experience on Talent management (Hire, Develop, Retain), resource allocation and project management.
- Sound technical knowledge & demonstrated experience of leading and managing New Product Development, VAVE and Application Engineering projects.
Demonstrated project execution from concept through commercialization on projects of medium technical complexity involving concept generation, Detail Design, Verification, Validation and certification as per global standards.
- Experience in sheet metal / structural support system design will be preferred.
- Experience in collaborating with local / global suppliers for prototype developments, external labs for testing etc.
