Supply Chain Assistant
Enter material orders into the Vista system, AS400, and Manage orders daily to ensure end product is built, shipped and meets the customer’s expectations
Complete the invoicing for all orders shipping on a daily basis
Manage Days on Hand (DOH) in a way that supports profit plan goals by analyzing inventory levels on a regular basis and taking action on lessons learned.
Examine open purchase orders daily through various systems and proactively resolve all related issues to ensure timely receipt of the materials required to meet the production schedule
Responsible for processing all interunit orders on a daily basis
Build and maintain a strong professional and productive relationship with all suppliers and carriers. Proactively work with them as needed to maintain service levels that meet our customer’s needs and are in line with our profit objectives.
Responsible for the coordination of payables as needed for the location (Markview processing to include requestor, coding and tax review). Manage returns and handle internal warranty issues from internal and external suppliers.
Responsible for daily inventory efforts, including adjustments, stock checks, Kanban changes and performing Kanban charge-outs for internal/external vendors. Lead inventory efforts (with support from CMSC Supply Chain Manager) for the location; this includes facilitating meetings, distribution of inventory day forms and materials, ensuring compliance with inventory procedures, etc. Ensure there is a trained backup to support this function/task in your absence.
Process return of non-conforming and excess material in a timely manner
Scrap obsolete items after receiving credit and authorization from Finance. Suggest and implement ideas to reduce scrap.
Responsible for the ordering of office supplies for the front office, as well as supplies and equipment for the shop floor (with Production Manager approval)
Participate on local site teams as necessary to improve our operation
Actively support safety initiatives in order to make our site a safer place to work
Maintain strong relationship with shipping/receiving departments to ensure On-time performance of assembly production/shipment
