Job Description

Galesburg, MI has openings for two Materials/Logistics Co-Ops for Summer 2018.
This role will support the development of logistics management strategies aligned with the division goals and deploy these strategies. Areas of focus may include logistics carrier/facility assistance, trade compliance, cost savings, invoicing, and internal materials flow. Additionally, the student in this role will be responsible for using our tools and data to perform analytical reviews, ensuring uninterrupted supply for production. This position also focuses on continuous improvement and assignment goals may be adjusted based on the interests of, and input from, the student coupled with current business priorities.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist in analytical reviews of data to ensure continuity of supply for production, best practice execution, identify cost out opportunities, and streamline implementation of projects. 
2. Support logistics goals and initiatives (on-time launch without premium freight, optimum inventory and logistics) and execute related tasks.
3. Act as liaison between materials and manufacturing functions on the Expeditors, San Luis Potosi Warehouse launch, ensuring timeliness of launch, ramp up/ down process, and warehouse flows into SLP facility.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Industrial Engineering at an accredited institution.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates located within 50 miles of Galesburg, MI will be considered for this position.
  • GPA of 3.0 or better required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous internships or co-ops in Materials, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred
  • Leadership in school or community organizations preferred
