Job Description

The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for a Supply Chain Analyst. This position will be based in Euclid, Ohio.
Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining medium/long range component production schedule through review of long range MPS and exploded bill of material requirements, supporting demand management process and SIOP, planning and scheduling in order to balance the forecast with actual demand, assuring level loading of manufacturing cells through creation and maintenance of weekly work order buckets through the planning horizon. Also, responsible for customer service activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products. Analyzes and manages inventory levels in relation to customer requirements to meet profit and inventory targets and goals. Expected to utilize various business systems, a variety of reports and other analytical tools to ensure timely and economical completion of customer requirements. 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain medium/long range component production schedule through review of long range MPS and exploded bill of material requirements.
  • Assure level loading of manufacturing cells through creation and maintenance of weekly work order buckets through the planning horizon.
  • Maximize material availability by proactively identifying future work order material requirements and facilitating delivery with the Purchasing team.
  • Act as a positive force in the organization, helping drive Lean Planning efforts to tightly align supply to demand throughout the plant, focusing on work order integrity, production center load, finite schedule attainment, and WIP inventory reduction.
  • Monitor inventory transactions to assure material is being processed in an accurate and timely manner.  Identify and communicate potential delays and/or problems to internal and external customers which may impede finished goods delivery.
  • Perform daily allocation of planned orders based on review of material receipts.
  • Provide High Performance Work Teams with transparency to longer term plan, material availability, and work center loading through monthly roundtable reviews.  Active partner with cell schedulers.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to planning parameters like lot size, lead time, and safety stock levels.
  • Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information (work order, work center, inventory, forecast) and prepare consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to improve plant/product line supply chain execution.
  • Leads and participates on manufacturing cell improvement teams, driving the continuous improvement of operations by setting/communicating goals, team building, and analysis.
  • Supports and leads actions necessary to attain SIOP maturity, such as data collection, demand evaluation, fulfillment measurement, and integration assessment.
  • Supports, and when required, leads cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives.
  • Full knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and multi-level bills of material.
  • Experience providing input/direction to operational purchasing.  Understanding of purchasing management concepts.
  • Current, working knowledge of capacity and finite planning, as well as inventory control.
  • Professional, affirmative, team thinking demeanor and approach to work life.
  • Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to utilize tools like Microsoft Excel to provide data and analytical support.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain management, or engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in discrete manufacturing with depth in production planning, inventory management and operations.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • No relocation will be offered for this position.  Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Experience operating within a mature SIOP environment.
  • High level of analytical skills unitizing ERP data, identifying trends and exceptions.
  • CPIM certification.
  • Prior knowledge in machining within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience in both discrete and assembly operations.
