Job Description

  • Procure direct materials to support production
  • Manage and develop supplier to ensure optimal quality and delivery
  • Develop, maintain and foster strong supplier relationships.
  • Collect data and prepare reports for day to day  operations and to present recommendations for continuous improvement ( cost, quality and delivery.)
  • Support engineering, production, accounting and quality on non-departmental led projects.
  • Using problem solving tools (8D, A3, Etc.) to solve specific problems related to supplier deliveries / cost.
  • Procure material in accordance with SMART rules and policies.
  • Ensure planning parameters are maintained to improve supplier OTD, customer OTD while minimizing inventory levels.
  • Take actions to provide input to the SIOP to align Supply and Demand on responsible parts.
  • Conduct supplier visit as required and participate on the qualification of quality system audits
  • Develop and Maintain Order Policy Parameters based on corporate guidelines
  • Analyze data and generate reports as required
  • Participate in new supplier developments
  • Support Product Transitions
  • Support, Manage and monitor SMART policies and metrics.
  • Lead inventory initiatives to reduce inventory amount
  • Manage purchasing Metrics (invoice on hold, Past due Orders, Release Past due, etc) and set example to buyers.
  • Lead one every six months CI plan for the area.
  • Lead one every six months  Kaizen event for the area.


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Computer skills required
  • Lean and sig sigma  Knowledge
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
