Machining Production Supervisor
Lead, facilitate and coordinate production activities and resources according to established practices and or policies within their job area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Prepare report daily production status.
Coordinate, leverage, and utilize appropriately resources to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes and meet external and internal customer demands.
Provide and implement training that will enable personnel to better perform.
Coordinate and administer employees: attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions. .
Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business Systems (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as ELS (Eaton Lean System) and 5s.
Maintain and report accurate inventory numbers while continually seeking ways to reduce work in progress (WIP) inventory levels and maximizing product flow while identifying and implementing cost out opportunities.
Participate in setting, communicating and achieving department goals and objectives and develop and maintain performance metrics as required to monitor results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area. Coordinate and/or participate in continuous improvement teams in own or other areas to enhance plant results.
Coordinate with Human Resources in the selection, promotion, counseling and termination of employees using Eaton guidelines and policies.
Monitor machinery, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required, to ensure efficient, effective and safe working conditions
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
Promotes the company’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
