Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Division has an opening for a:

Product Manager Switchgear (m/f)

Location: Eberbach, Germany

Essential Functions:

• Recommend, develop and pursue long‑term growth objectives (Strategy and MGPP) and plans for assigned families of Eaton Products

• Identify, recommend and decide on new products for development (ProLaunch) and/or source and sell

• Implement and effectively coordinate the product development process to insure timing of product introduction and acceptance in the market. Oversight of the quote activity, pricing and the inquiry to the quote process for all projects

• Plan and determine product pricing policy consistent with competitive market price and discount practices to obtain optimum volume and market position

• Recommend and initiate changes or deletions in current products and pricing necessary to maintain and increase sales and profits in accordance with Profit Plan goals and policy

• Determine competitive standing of current products in relation to price, features and performance. Evaluate product success in the marketplace through internal reports and direct contacts with field sales, customers and distributors Recommend adjustments to marketing and sales efforts when and where necessary

• Resolve product inconsistencies arising from, but not limited to, manufacturing (multiple plants) and engineering inquiries, changes in vendor supplies, and customer complaints

• Maintain current and required knowledge of the marketplace via Voice of the Customer (VOC), studies and tradeshows to be thoroughly appraised of all new or modified product opportunities as well as developments and internal and external trainings that may impact our products or ability to sell them

• Recommend and develop cross regional commercial, multi-channel strategies and programs along with promotional materials to increase market share of existing products

• Analyze competitors' actions, product developments, product policies, and activities.  Prepare and publish appropriate details for use by Sales and customer support team



• University degree in engineering, or degree in business with professional experience in a technical industry, Master in Business Administration (MBA) preferred

• 7 or more years of work experience needed, and minimum 2 years sales or marketing experience with technical products (electrical and/or hazardous area experience preferred)

• Strong commercial, communication and presentation skills

• Fluent in English-spoken and written, at least basic German level preferred

• Strong Analytical capabilities
