Eaton located in La Grange, NC has an opening for a Mold Set-Up Mechanic on 2nd Shift
Position Overview
This position is responsible for setting molds and processing the raw plastic material into parts that are within specification. The position is also responsible for the repair and maintenance on molding equipment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Plans and performs mold set-up and processing to insure the best utilization of labor and machinery.
  • Identifies problems with machinery, equipment, and tools and makes repairs, adjustments, or request additional technical help if needed.
  • Maintains good working relationship with production operators.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all safety rules.
  • Follow all environmental and waste disposal regulations.
  •  Perform first piece inspection of parts to insure that they are within tolerance.
  • Set-up other molding equipment when needed.
  • Moves molds as required.
  • Communicates with all team members.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.
  • Participates in a continuous improvement team.
  • Receive environmental training, and carry out related duties if instructed to do so by Supervisor.


Basic Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is provided. Only candidates within 50 miles of La Grange, NC will be considered for this position.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using inspection measuring equipment (micrometers, etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multiple process-manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
