Analyst - IT : ETL Support

At EITC, we are currently looking for experienced IT professionals to join our Information Platform Architecture COE (IPACOE) to
a) Provide end to end support for all ETL processes and systems. Function as a primary point of contact for any ETL support requests.
b) Trouble shoot / Analyze support requests, identify the root cause resolution and work closely with other Eaton enterprise sectors/groups to implement solutions.
c) Monitor daily job loads and take appropriate actions to resolve failures. Perform code modifications as appropriate.
d) Develop and maintain ETL support processes and documentation. Maintain the integrity of the ETL environments.
e) Collaborate, build and maintain relationships with other technical groups. Initiate continuous improvement initiatives within the team and Enterprise
a) Monitor support request tickets / requests on regular basis and provide timely resolution to close the tickets. Should provide quick analysis and assign the ticket to correct support group. Track the closure of assigned tickets / requests.
b) Support and maintain existing ETL modules with good ETL, Data warehousing, Oracle and PL SQL knowledge. Sound knowledge of Unix and Unix scripting is must. Knowledge on Control M will be added advantage.
c) Participate in continual improvements in order to decrease incidents and maintain quality.
d) Create support ticket knowledge base and handle repetitive issues independently and work towards permeant fixes
e) Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Good ETL Support experience with Hand-on support knowledge
- Hands-on experience in Informatica and good data warehousing knowledge
- Good Oracle / PL SQL/ UNIX & Unix scripting knowledge
- Experience supporting Data warehouse solution.
- Hands-on experience with Ctrl-M scheduling would be a definite plus
- Good understanding of dimensional data modelling and OBAW will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of reporting application will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge on DAC will be an added advantage
- Good understanding/ Certification on ITIL would be a definite plus
- Ability to apply new skills / additional information acquired in relation to role
- Ability to interact with other support groups, business users, solution architects & business analyst.
- Ability to prioritize own activities, work under hard deadlines
- Team player with commitment to achieve team goals
- Motivated, flexible and with a can do approach
- Keen to learn and develop proficiency
- Excellent Communication Skills
B-Tech/MCA with 4-6 years’ experience in Informatica with the above skills
