Maintenance and Facility Coordinator

 

Location: Arad, Romania

 

The primary function of the Maintenance and Facility Coordinator is to organize and motivate a small maintenance team, plan priorities, monitor performance and deliver results. Maintenance and Facility Coordinator ensures continuation of service from maintenance to the site. Must have a ‘can do’ approach to problem solving along with a drive for improvement.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Developing and sustaining building and equipment maintenance practices and systems
  • Scheduling and documenting routine and preventative maintenance activities. Direct and oversee repair of production machine tools
  • Planning and execute non-routine maintenance/repair activities
  • Supervising and develop maintenance department personnel
  • Ensuring adherence to environmental, health and safety regulatory requirements
  • Formulating policies and procedures to insure compliance with health & safety practices and regulations
  • Developing facilities budget and monitor monthly performance
  • Coordinating subcontracts for construction, remodeling, and maintenance of facility; hazardous waste disposal; cleaning services; security and fire alarm equipment and services
  • Requisitioning all supplies and parts for machine tool maintenance & repair; hazardous materials; safety and first aid; building maintenance & repair
  • Acting as key contributor and active participant on safety committee
  • Providing management reports as required on maintenance, facilities, and environmental compliance
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual capital budget
  • Assisting in the preparation and justification of Capital Expenditure Requests (CER)
  • Providing industrial engineering support
  • Fully supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility including Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities
  • Developing, tracking, and publishing maintenance department performance metrics

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Trained electrician with a good mechanical knowledge
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Good organizational skills
  • Flexible approach to short notice changes of priority
  • Effective supervisory skills
  • Good I.T. skills
  • All-rounder who can adapt to a variety of situations
