Job Description

For our Eaton/Cooper MTL Instruments Group
(electronic components and protection equipment for process control and telecommunications industries)
we are looking for a
Quality Specialist
  • Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans in line with overall Eaton Quality Programmes including resources, systems and timescales
  • Establish the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives in conjunction with UK site leadership.
  • Implement and lead robust customer concerns management process to ensure resolution and communication in a timely and effective manner.
  • Define and lead quality related action plan based on yearly customer satisfaction survey or any other customer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and work to align the system to meet current business and customer needs while continuously evaluating its effectiveness and adherence.
  • Establish and drive internal audit programmes across the Luton site as applicable.
  • Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.
  • Monitor quality related performances according to agreed standards and take necessary action to communicate/advise/assist according to performance levels.
  • Active participation in developing and managing supplier quality performance including management of concerns and supplier auditing


  • Proven experience in a similar quality role (manufacturing)
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience of management of an ISO9001 QMS 
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, able to produce detailed workbooks from scratch 
  • Good knowledge of implementation of 5S and other lean methodologies
  • Good knowledge of statistical techniques for analysing data
