Eaton is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence & Digital Strategy Manager for our Burlington, Ontario office.
 
Position Overview:
Lead the development of Eaton Canada’s business strategy, digital marketing, and channel marketing functions, supported by business intelligence and data analytics. This role is responsible for the development and execution of Eaton Canada’s digital and content marketing strategy across all lines of business. The incumbent will implement and advance the operations of the data analytics COE (Center of Excellence) to support the organization’s decision making, profitable growth and risk management goals. The successful incumbent will help educate and elevate decision-making across the organization to one that is data-informed.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that data analytics aligns with organization goals and objectives and that the Canadian business realizes significant value from the market insights and business intelligence function.
  • Become a thought leader in the future of business intelligence and partner with other business leaders in elevating Eaton’s brand through digital platforms.
  • Articulate strategy and ideas clearly and with compelling evidence to persuade the senior management.
  • Collaborate with key functional areas at Eaton to enhance productivity and business gain, leveraging the use of data analytics and business intelligence.
  • Facilitate the data analytics strategies for governance, design, implementation, integration and usage of IT applications and internal business processes.
  • Demonstrate a leadership style that perpetuates the Eaton Values and Philosophy and the Eaton Code of Ethics.
  • Primary responsibility to map the strategy, design and implementation of the analytics framework and day-to-day tactical operations of the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics function for the Canadian business.
  • Develop Eaton Canada’s digital asset strategy (Bid Manager, Pricing tools, new digital asset investments) and digital marketing activities across all businesses.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of the Canadian Operations Strategic Plan and annual Profit Plan, ensuring alignment with the Electrical Sector goals.
  • Develop and execute the channel and digital marketing strategy and ensure synergies are realized across the function, better execution of programs, and greater data analytics to support the ROI and value of the marketing programs.
  • Lead the planning, development and operationalization of a set of business-wide BI tools and processes to advance organization’s decision making; become the focal point for coordination between functions to deliver exceptional business insights.
  • Oversee the design and execution of integrated digital marketing strategies across Eaton Canada’s digital touch points that resonate with target audiences and build engagement.
  • Use and leverage data analysis to identify opportunities in the marketplace and strategize to achieve intended business outcomes
  • Manage and execute a strategic roadmap for the deployment of business analytics software, tools, human resources and business processes that ensures the effective use of advanced analytics and big-data technologies, strategies and tactics to drive business growth and ultimately mature the function.
  • Advance the scale and scope of Eaton’s digital assets (product configurator, pricing management tools, Global vista, web content, e-commerce, product manager dashboard) to realize significant efficiency gains as well as customer engagement
  • Lead the development and deployment of an effective price change process and provide timely input to all parties when price changes/increases are required.
  • Implement innovative margin and profit analysis tools, supporting the overall business to manage costs, inter-unit pricing and supply chain strategies in a way that drives enhanced profitability and business performance.
  • Responsible for programs/initiatives as assigned by the Director of Marketing to include: support of District Operating Plan (DOP), Sales Goal Loading Process, and Field Sales Incentive Plans.
  • Provides direction, including development of business intelligence and analytical skills to a team that use data and statistical methods that deliver insights into business performance and suggest methods of improving processes, procedures and operational activities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in digital analytics or business management
  • Ability to influence and negotiate strategy and roadmaps in planning exercises
  • Experience in creating data-informed decision making throughout the organization
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience in the electrical industry and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Highly analytical mindset, sound understanding of financial and business concepts.
  • Experience with MSOffice tools; especially Excel (creating macros, pivot tables, etc.) and Access for the manipulation of data.
  • North American Exposure.
  • Up to 30% travel required.
     
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.Sc, CFA, or MBA is an asset.
