Job Description

Lead the Supply Chain Function for the Youngsville Plant Operations with approximately $135M in sales annually.   Key Supply Chain related functions include Materials planning, scheduling, and ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, direct source material, inventory control and warehousing, shipping and receiving.
 
A.
Manages and directs supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels
B
Manages current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements
C.
Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant/product line optimal Supply Chain execution
D.
Ensures correct planning parameters and transaction disciplines are utilized in order execution systems (such as SAP) to ensure proper order generation and inventory balances
E.
Manages material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes in addition to taking necessary action to ensure successful implementation and incorporation of approved engineering releases
F.
Evaluates operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.

Meet or exceed key metrics of days on hand, gross inventory, plant and supplier on-time delivery, days payable outstanding, cost savings, cycle count accuracy, supplier invoice on-hold metrics, and profit plan/budget forecasts

Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company

Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement while aligning with supply chain functional requirements (i.e. Materials Management Assessment)

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science from accredited educational institution
  • Minimum 5 years of related supply chain experience
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory/managerial experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship on a permanent basis
  • Relocation is available for this opportunity.

 
Position Criteria:
  • Ability to demonstrate full Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) and order generation process logic
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection and management, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operation and shipping/receiving
  • Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management
  • Ability to proficiently demonstrate business, financial and industry acumen, risk, process and stakeholder management competencies
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a focus on collaboration
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a growth oriented and fast paced work environment.
  • Results oriented with excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to interface with all organizational levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including intermediate to advance skills in Excel 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Experience working in SAP
  • Knowledge of ISO or Quality Systems
  • Experience developing and controlling production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or APICSLean or Six Sigma application in business processes
