At EITC, we are currently looking for experienced IT professionals to join our QA CoE group, a dynamic Global QA team working as a part of cross-functional enterprise IT project team(s). This group provides different testing services across the Enterprise.
 
The Senior Performance Test Analyst will be a key role within the Core Functions of QA CoE.
 
  1. Senior Performance Test Analyst will be responsible for building the core capabilities of Performance testing for applications/systems across the organization.
  2. The position involves defining performance testing approach, creating plans, executing plans via test script creation and execution and maintaining status for projects.
  3. This position will collaborate very closely with various cross-functional project teams to fulfill their Performance Testing requirements by either executing the work himself/herself or by providing guidance/oversight to Performance Test Analysts.
  4. The position is expected to mentor a team of analysts who will work on a time shared basis for the organization’s performance testing needs.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Mentor the performance test analysts technically, lead the Performance Test Events during project roll-outs and guide the project team
  2. Work with cross functional project teams throughout the full test lifecycle i.e. getting performance requirements, preparing test plans, writing scripts, reviewing scripts, executing scripts, analyzing result, test reporting and test closure.
  3. Coordinate with users/ application team for performance testing requirements
  4. Conduct analysis (Scope, ROI etc.) and define the approach for performance testing
  5. Design, develop and maintain effective reusable enterprise wide solutions for performance testing
  6. Report status of performance testing engagements to relevant stakeholders and raise issues/risks in a timely manner
  7. Support in defining processes and best practices for performance testing.
  8. Work on setting up the test environment (hardware, web, application, database server) and coordinate with infrastructure team.
  9. Ensure effective utilization of  the quality tools for performane  testing , co-ordinate with other Testing Teams
  10. Provide training on performane testing related topics. Contribute to QA Community of Practice from non-functional testing perspective.
  11. Allocate tasks  to team, track and  monitor as per plan to deliver projects on-time and within budget
  12. Responsible for capacity planning and effective utilization of the team
  13. Responsible for talent management of the team including talent acquisitions, talent development
  14. Ensure compliance to Eaton standard processes

  16. Effectively manage vendor relationship and resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering /  Masters in Computer applications with  about 7-10 years of QA experience
  • Experience in working with cross functional groups
  • Strong knowledge, hands-on testing experience in all test activities for manual/automation/performance testing
  • Strong experience in high end test activities  such as test strategizing, test planning, reporting, metrics for performance testing
  • Strong experience in creating, using, maintaining various frameworks for performance testing,
  • Strong experience in performance engineering, tuning
  • Expert, proficient in using HP Testing tools for performance testing
  • Manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Must have very good communication and interpersonal skills with experience of direct stakeholder involvement
Testing, testing tools related certification is a plus
