Ensure assembly processes from NPD are developed with adequate controls in order to meet product specifications, customer requirements and plant goals throughout the product life cycle: customer complaints, External/Internal PPM, OEE/FTQ, scrap, volume/rate. Ensure rigorous use of PFMEA and implementation of derivate control plans during process development.
Responsible for rigor in Advance Quality Planning processes developed by the plant and external functions to prevent issues during the development and launch of new programs.
Meet launch costs target due to obsolescence, premium freight, corrective actions during launch and SOP.
Ensure customer required PPAP elements and dates for NPD and change management are met, and customer specific requirements are incorporated.
Minimize impact to production resources during PPAP/PTR runs.
Ensure Supplier APQP process is performed in a timely manner and properly evaluated to minimize quality and supply risks in components. Incorporate automotive standards and customer specific requirements.
Manage customer complaints and internal findings (GP-12, FTQ, DMR) during pre-launch and SOP until timely and effective resolution.
Meet annual supplier validation schedule, including CQI when applicable. Meet annual customer validation schedule.
Take ownership of timely and effective solution of launch/change management issues.
Maintain quarantined inventory due to NPD/CMB within goal: value, accuracy and aging.
Ensure effective representation from Quality team during NPD/Change management forums: Supplier sourcing, DGC, project reviews.
Manage Advanced Quality Resources according to NPD/CMB project’s scope and needs to maximize output.
Ensures adherence to and improves Quality System processes: APQP, CMB, ProLaunch, Supplier/Customer PPAP.
Communicates the importance of the Quality Management System and adherence to requirements. Direct and promote commitment from his team members to contribute to the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
Promotes the continues improvement of the Quality Management System and supports CIFs strategies and project.
Mechanic Engineer, Electro mechanic Engineer, Industrial Engineer Degree or similar.
+ 10 experience years in Quality area.
Knowledge on Automotive Standards and OEM specific requirements.
Desirable knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
