Senior Engineer- APQP

Execute Sourcing projects to achieve project schedule goals
Lead projects through a standard process to define scope and requirements, complete risk planning and
Lead cross-functional team meetings & publish ongoing status reports thru the life of the project.
Finalize APQP timeline and validate APQP deliverables thru the life of the project, ensuring project-task tracking data is updated on a regular basis
Follow up with suppliers on PPAP submission and tracks approval process & facilitates activities related to PPAP submission and approval(i.e. samples, dimensional verifications, IMDS & packaging approvals)
Escalate issues/concerns to SDE and work with SDEs to resolve them
Collaboration with Global Engineering Teams, Eaton Global plants and Global suppliers to achieve project task completion within stipulated time line, with good quality.
Lead with other functions in the business (Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and Supply Chain) to ensure that the organization is aligned along with a “Power of One” approach to NPI opportunities, issues and solutions
Understands how to do skillful negotiations with internal and external suppliers, solve problems, settle disputes; develop win-win solutions, and develop positive relations through tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.
Understands and applies process channel knowledge for acquiring materials and/or services in order to ensure delivery requirements for commodities and/or service customers
- Bachelors in Engineering with 6-8 years of experience OR Masters with 4-6 years of experience in New Product Development in a manufacturing organization
- PMI (Project Management Institute) Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification preferred
- Strong Knowledge in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) & MS-Project
- Knowledge of different type of materials & commodities. Should have experience in one or more primary Commodities, such as, castings, machining, plastic injection molding (PIM), stamping, sheet metal, plastics, electronics/PCBs.
- Need to have working Knowledge of any ERP.
