Responsible for managing strategic commodities, developing regional commodity/supplier strategies, developing a consistent and reliable cost out pipeline from a strategic planning view, leading supplier selection and sourcing process, contract management and leading cost-out activities and projects.
Manage the assigned strategic commodity of Plastics & OCV and Stamping Components etc. Including lead SCM P&L for assigned business unit, initiate and drive the cost out activities; deploy functional excellence and continuous improvement on process.
Lead the commodity strategy deployment and interaction with cross functional stakeholders.
Support global commodity strategies development and deployment for assigned commodity
Working with purchasing manager to improve the personal capability by on-job training and knowledge sharing.
Bachelor Degree and above.
5 years above of commodity management experience in automobile industrial or industry
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Full proficiency in both written and spoken English
Strong Negotiation skills.
Skilled in the area of Supplier Management, such as contract management, sourcing process management. Supplier development knowledge is also a plus, i.e. 6 sigma, PPAP, APQP process.
Experience in supporting Americas or European factories for sourcing from China, including the co-ordination with global commodity managers and product engineers in the Americas or Europe, and supporting commercial supplier negotiations.
Flexibility and ability to travel within the Northeast Asia region (up to 50% of total work time), as well as on occasion to other regions.
Flexibility and ability to manage the working time for Global Con-call and meeting. (Bi-Weekly basis)
