Eaton’s Power Systems Division is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to be based out of our Waukesha, WI facility.
Position Overview:
Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Lead Financial Analyst within the Cooper Power Systems regional headquarters, located in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  The Lead Financial Analyst supports a profitable business with annual sales of $1.1B in decision-making processes by providing comprehensive analyses and financial reports to internal customers across multiple organizational levels.  The Lead Financial Analyst works collaboratively with finance and accounting resources throughout our plants and divisions in the US, Canada, and Mexico in supporting monthly reporting, analysis, and forecasting cycles, as well as annual profit and strategic planning.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support the monthly closing and rolling forecast processes. Analyze commercial and operational financial data, investigate variances, identify business drivers, and evaluate their impact on planned objectives. Document insightful variance analysis commentary for management.
  • Partner with functional VP’s and department budget owners managers in monthly forecasting, financial reporting and analysis, and annual development of detailed departmental budgets of ~$35M in spend.
  • Assist in development of annual profit plan for the business including P&L, balance sheet, capital spending, and headcount. Take the lead on several aspects of building the profit plan and coordinate requirements with the regional and divisional key players.
  • Support / lead process improvement projects. Work in a team environment with other analysts and financial colleagues to streamline and drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization.
  • Prepare and communicate insightful analysis for monthly reviews. Organize, and deliver appropriate management reports to the business’ leadership team.
  • Coordinate annual standard cost roll process.  Develop guidance, communicate, and drive consistency and financial policy compliance.
  • Lead monthly capital review and forecast meeting.  Coordinate timing of annual capital plan with Power Systems divisional capital coordinator.
  • Cross-train with other analysts to build skills and experience across the finance team.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
 Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with US GAAP
  • Experience in finance planning, analysis, and performance reporting in a manufacturing/plant environment.
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience in a standard costing environment
  • CPA/CMA Certification
Position Criteria:
  • Functionally proficient in SAP financials, Longview Solutions, Hyperion, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
