Director, Gulf Coast Region Sales
The Director, Gulf Coast Region Sales is accountable to organize and direct Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds Division Electrical Products (EP) field sales Gulf Coast districts and areas in planning and conducting selling activities for Electrical Products in a manner that achieves maximum profitable volume at an acceptable selling cost. Analyzes sales levels and market conditions and initiates appropriate actions with both established customers and potential customers to ensure attainment of aggressive sales growth objectives.
Located in Houston, Texas and reporting to the Vice President, Sales, this position is responsible for the US EP Sales Gulf Coast Region representing approximately $200M in revenue. Additionally, the incumbent strategically manages oil & gas initiatives in the US to generate millions of dollars annually of incremental Eaton orders with targeted EPCs. This individual will draw heavily upon close business and personal relationships with top decision makers at these accounts to sell the Eaton package of products, services, and people.
This position will be responsible for directing the field district managers selling Eaton's Crouse Hinds highly preferred products to End Users, Electrical Contractors, Distributors and Engineering Firms in the Heavy Process Industries. This role is responsible for managing focused relationships within the oil & gas industry and helps build the strategy for sales & marketing efforts at the FEED and detail design levels of projects. Commercial coordination with distributors and strategic end users will also be critical in this role. The position works cooperatively with the division’s and Eaton’s global management teams throughout all functions to effectively coordinate these global type EPC Oil, Gas, Chemical, Power, projects, etc.
The Director, Gulf Coast Region Sales ensures that Eaton Crouse-Hinds attains most aggressive vendor approvals and specification position possible for critical product lines. Implements control mechanisms (and metrics) to ensure that action plans in place for key end users, EPC’s & Distributors are executed and deliver as planned.
The director continuously examines methods of distribution, sales promotion, selling, pricing, compensation, and similar activities of Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds business, competitors and manufacturers and distributors or related products to assist the him/her in establishing EP sales policies, procedures and controls. This role will assist in division efforts to produce and increase sales through advertising, sales promotion and publicity techniques. The incumbent participates in the selling activities with key distributors, accounts and on the jobs as required or requested. He/she will plan and administer methods of controlling expenses within budget.
Minimum 5 years of industrial product sales experience.
