Job Description

Responsible for operating and maintaining the Singapore facility to maximize customer satisfaction by producing quality products and shipping them on a timely basis. The position will also be responsible for achieving all aspects of the operational and strategic goals, while building a strong culture of EBS.
    1. Provide leadership to the hose plant.
    2. Lead in strategic review of the plant in the following aspects – financials, operational excellence, growth, human resource capabilities.
    3. Liaise with internal customers with regards to product demand, production mix, delivery plan. Liaise with external customers on deflects and complaints.
    4. Develop controls and critically review results of operation in reference to planned objectives and correct promptly for satisfactory results.
    5. Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System.
    6. Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold others accountable for ethical conduct.
    7. Coordinate and direct through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to safety, manufacturing, asset utilization, inventory management, facility and environmental management, layout and construction, maintenance, manufacturing projects, cost out, manpower utilization, work standards and administration.
    8. Attract, select, develop, train, coach, appraise and motivate managers and other personnel for key line and staff positions in the facility.
    9. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. Ensure compliance to Eaton policies such as Equal Employment Opportunity, Harassment, Safety, and Substance Abuse. Support and strengthen key communities.
    10. Direct programs required ensuring that plant and equipment are properly maintained and that adequate and trained personnel are available to carry out all phases of plant operations.
    11. Make safety a priority in daily operations by actively participating in health and safety activities.
    12. Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change.


Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Industrial Management. Masters Degree preferred.

Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing and management roles with prior plant management experience. Communicates effectively with all management and production personnel, and can quickly and effectively build relationships at all levels. Must be able to effectively work in a matrix organization.
Experience in the following areas will be preferred - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Program Management, Accounting and Finance, Structured Problem Solving.
