Electrical Engineering/Technologist Co-Op Student

Job Description

Primary Function:
Working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems group to provide onsite engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist different Field Service personnel in a wide variety of electrical work.
  • Assist in creating detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of work performed.
  • Follow required safety practices.
  •  Manage paperwork and office procedures as required.
  • Perform all work at a high quality level.
  • Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends as required by our customers.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Technology Program or Electrical Engineering Degree Program
  • Must obtain a valid driver license
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship on an ongoing basis
  • This position does not offer relocation. Must reside within 80 km of London, ON
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics would be an asset
  • Mechanical skills would be an asset
  • Good attitude and work ethic
  • Understanding of the company’s and competitor’s electrical distribution and mechanical products
  • Demonstrated customer service ability
