Senior Production Manager - At Their Brierely site

This role is a very hands on, management position,
Candidates must currently live in a commutable distance to the site
When applying please ensure you are currently at a senior management production level, you are very hands on and you have worked in a location where you can utilize your six sigma and lean skills to improve process and production timings.
This role requires candidates to be strategic in regards to financial planning but also hands on with production management and team management
This role will also be working across a day and night shift within production so flexibility is needed.
Directs and coordinates all activities in production and assembly factories to meet and exceed plant goals and objectives whether that be for safety, cost, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Utilizing your skills within LEAN and six sigma to improve production timings, manpower planning and costing
Motivate and mentor the team
identifiy top talent in the team and identiry where talent is needed
Working to strict process matrix, working and managing p&l, profit planning and data matrix
Lead the production team effectively focused on performance to achieve the hi 5 objectives (Safety, Quality, OTD, Days On Hand and Flex Productivity).
Ensuring ongoing productivity improvements through optimizing manning levels, challenging performance & driving training programs whilst meeting the monthly production/customer schedule requirements with minimum special costs such as overtime and premium freight.
Drive greater Implementation of Eaton Lean Six Sigma initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, Total Productive Maintenance, Problem Solving, Set Up reduction, Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Flow Manufacturing to drive efficiency and achieve cost out initiatives.
Prepare manufacturing for new product launches, through process development, resource planning and effective communication.
Driving 5S throughout the areas, ensuring auditing & events take place in partnership with the Lean coordinator.
Deploy, develop & maintain systems & controls that align with Eaton Business System integrating the requirements of OpA (Operations Assessment) utilizing the CIF ( Continuous Improvement Framework) to drive continuous improvement.
Develop & promote the use of effective problem solving techniques to gain improvements in all aspects of Production performance.
Manage Labor relations with HR team facilitating employee engagement activities. Develop culture of open and honest communication. Encourage and support employee suggestions and recommendations relating to continuous improvement of the work environment and processes and the elimination of waste.
Working in partnership with quality to ensure Right First Time improves through quality reviews & engineering improvements.
Ensuring On Time Delivery by working closely with logistics & ensuring production plans are agreed and requirements met. Where improvement are required, take the lead to have robust improvement plans in place.
Supporting/coaching & directing your team to ensure people are performing at their optimum & working with HR on organizational issues.

You must currently live in a commutable area to the site
Candidates must currently be working in a busy production site, ideally within manufacturing or injection moulding, Automotive is ideal but not essential
Candidates will have worked in an environment where one of their tasks has been to implement their LEAN and six sigma skills to dramatically improve, production timings, material management, finance matrix and OTD
You will have hands on managed a large team, you will be a hands on and strategic candidate
You will be flexible to work shifts
Strong experience within data and finance matrix
- Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent technical professional 5 years’ experience acquired in a similar manufacturing environment.
- 5 to 7 years manufacturing experience in a managerial positions
- Technical knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding and Assembly processes
- Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Quality Management systems and inventory systems
- Demonstrated ability in budgeting, manpower planning, training techniques, human relations skills, supervisory techniques.
- Knowledge of customer requirements, procedures, standards & product application
- Knowledge of interpretation & understanding of IATF, ISO, TS standards, AIAG manuals & overall plant systems Experience Supervising working in a Unionised environment.
