Job Description

  • Support and Drive Six Sigma/ Lean projects for delivering desired business Impacts. Monitor the overall Cost Out achieved through the Six Sigma/Lean projects, based on the agreed project plans.
  • Develop Yellow, Green Belts and Black Belts, preparing them to support the business organizational capability, preparing future leaders to have this knowledge as part of their skills and competencies.
  • Follow Corporate Quality Six Sigma program and Problem Solving guidance and procedures, ensuring alignment, consistency and focus.
  • Program Governance to project leaders (PL) – holding Project Leads  accountable for standard Tollgate Reviews and Sponsor Approval .
  • Provides Lean and Six Sigma support and direct project leadership across the organization to drive short-term and long term business improvements.
  • Provide technical and statistical expertise to Yellow, Green Belts and Black Belts and improvement teams as required throughout the Improvement Projects.
  • Transfer learning across the SCM SSC and improvement teams, through project leaders and improvement teams mentoring / SS Committee.
  • Leads or support SCM SSC organization wide initiatives including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma / Lean based projects, tool deployment, benchmarking.
  • Develop the motivational tools that will support the development of the Lean/Six Sigma program and its integration with the daily activities of the belts throughout the SSC Pune organization.
  • Analyze, review and propose transactional process improvements, leading BPIs and coordinating process improvement teams to drive and achieve overall performance improvement, with focus on Materials & Logistics processes.
  • Support the SSC CI Council as needed as a SME in the Six Sigma (DMAIC) and Lean methodologies.

Qualifications

    • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent Operations , Supply Chain qualification
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain , Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering or related positions
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Improvement Projects leadership in technical and administrative projects, with proven results
    • Previous practical experience (2 years) in Project Management and methodologies application
    • Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt required ( 3-5yrs)
    • Strong mentoring, coaching and conflict resolution skills
    • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills required with experience of managing complex projects remotely – across various geographies and cultures.
    • Leadership, Drive for results, change and adaptability as critical soft skills
    • Strong collaborative style, promoting and championing change
    • Strong skills on assessment and organizational diagnosis
    • 7-10 yrs. experience within a Supply Chain  – managing CI projects across a multi country and business environment.
    • Demonstrated success in the delivery of supply chain  / logistics re-design projects. Utilizing financial and cost modelling to initiate and measure best total cost solutions.
    • Ideally a back ground in SCM operations ( 3-5 yrs.) covering areas of logistics , material planning , warehousing and distribution .
    • Experience of network modelling software would be an advantage.
    • Experience of Multi- mode Logistics Supplier rate card and contract structures – applying CI /Six sigma to RFQ and lane rate cost analysis to drive improvements. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of complex data architecture (including coaching and mentoring of project leads in project environment ) ex. SQL , Qlikview and Terradata would be an advantage.
