Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

As a key member of the Talent Management & Org Effectiveness (TMOE) organization, the Global HR Analytics Leader is responsible to develop and deliver the company’s HR analytics strategic roadmap.  This leader will work across organizations and in collaboration with HR centers of excellence, business operations & functions.  The strategic roadmap aligns with and supports HR reporting and workforce planning and addresses the collection of new data or improvement of existing data velocity, variety, and volume. 

 

This role is responsible for driving the evolution of HR analytics tools, enabling strategic workforce planning, and driving standardization and automation in the use of HR analytics.

 

This innovative leader will also be responsible for providing expert internal consultation and advice with a primary focus on workforce information and measures that create insight.  These insights will guide decision-making of talent management and HR processes and lead to bottom-line results. The leader will drive change and influence decision-making through understanding of advanced statistical concepts and models. 

 

This role serves as the functional leader to the Organizational Research, Analytics and Planning (ORAP) team focused on global analytics – developing a roadmap for developing the team’s HR analytics and consulting capabilities.  The leader provides regular and on-going coaching, development, and guidance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for providing leaders with expert internal consultation regarding workforce information and measures.  Create insights to guide decision-making of talent management and HR processes that lead to bottom-line results.  Focus areas may include: predictive turnover, succession planning effectiveness, and improving employee selection.
  • Provides counsel to CHRO, HR COEs, HR Leaders, and project teams to understand their analytics needs.
  • Develops HR analytics strategic roadmap, ensuring delivery of the analytical and support needs of the customer, while ensuring the team can effectively support future applications, analytics, and predictive modeling aligned to the HR Strategic Plan.
  • Develops the data strategy roadmap to collect newly created data or utilize existing data to drive actionable insights that positively impact business performance.
  • Contributes HR analytics expertise and insights into company strategic workforce planning framework and process.  Aligns Eaton’s HR analytics capabilities with the HR Strategic Plan.
  • Responsible for leading the realization of an advanced HR analytics platform, building a best-in-class customer experience for insight delivered out of multiple systems.
  • Advances a culture where HR insight is presented in business terms, ensuring HR and operational leaders can make decisions using workforce intelligence that is aligned with customer outcomes, business objectives, and financial results.  
  • Provides functional leadership and management—including coaching, development, and guidance—to the organizational research, analytics & planning (ORAP) team focused on analytics
  • Develops the workforce analytics skillset of HR professionals by directing the development and deployment of the HR analytics training curriculum and communication materials. 

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, industrial / organizational psychology, statistics, business or mathematics from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years’ professional work experience including a focus on technical background/expertise in business / HR analytics or data science
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Preferred Criteria  
  • Expertise in advanced analytics and/or statistics, including prior professional experience using R, Python, SAS or other data science languages
  • MBA or master’s degree in data science, industrial / organizational psychology, statistics or mathematics
  • Successful track record consulting with and influencing business and technology leaders.  Notably, the successful candidate will be a business-driven leader who aligns analytics to business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in contributing to the development of enterprise-wide analytics capabilities
  • Strong leadership presence, communication skills.  Able to effectively translate technical and complex concepts into practical, meaningful HR and business ideas / recommendations.
  • Consensus-driven style and will value the creation of collaborative relationships. Experience in a highly matrixed fast-paced business
  • Possesses working knowledge in HR processes and metrics
  • External certification in strategic workforce planning or workforce analytics (e.g. HCI)
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, including project planning and management skills
