Supplier Quality Engineer
A. Lead the overall SQA functions for operations including incoming inspection, containment area and supplier corrective actions.
B. Work directly with suppliers to improve overall part quality. Drive improvements to their overall quality systems.
C. Drive issue resolution with suppliers, engineering and manufacturing. Conduct periodic reviews of Supplier`s quality performance. Involves plant management when required in those periodic reviews.
D. Oversee the supplier certification program. Ensure supplier report card process is in place. Generate appropriate performance metrics and follow up plans.
E. Supervises all rework, containment and sorting activities that relates to supplier quality issues.
F. Develop and drive department projects such as reducing the need for incoming inspections, vendor to stock improvement, electronic certificates of compliance and parallel audit expansion.
G. Supervise incoming inspection auditors in operations as well as supplier quality technicians when present at operations.
H. Travel to supplier facilities when required to review and enhance their effectiveness and capabilities.
I. Monitors direct material quality performance in the plant.
J. Works and interact with SCM and SDE teams on developing and approving new suppliers, providing action plans for problematic suppliers and follows Eaton guidelines for escalating issues.
K. Assure 100% use and compliance to Eaton tools like WISPER and other applicable to position. Pursues supplier cost recovery process with suppliers to assure a proper accounting of those costs.
L. Lead and assure full compliance on PPAP requirements from suppliers. Communicate and provide status to operations on PPAP assuring all processes meet all related requirements
M. Direct responsible for direct supplied product entering quarantine area. Manages, according to local procedures, all non-conforming products from suppliers.
N. Assist with the implementation of quality systems.
O. Perform additional functions as required.
P. Comply with requirements of Quality & Environmental Managements System
Qualifications• Extensive knowledge and experience on AIAG Core Tools:
• Ability to communicate in the English language (80%)
• Solid knowledge on Quality systems
• Internal Auditor training preferred
