Eaton located in Athens, GA has an opening for a Machine Operator on Paint Line supporting 2nd Shift
Position Overview
Responsible for operating safely, efficiently, and effectively various manufacturing and CNC equipment and related systems. Able to trouble shoot and adjust manufacturing processes to ensure quality and cycle time improvements.  Ensures compliance with all quality standards and customer requirements while striving to meet the company’s profit objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Specific Functions (List the specific functions which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position.)
  • Comply with all Athens plant and Eaton policies and objectives.  This is includes compliance with internal documentation and communication.
  • Comply with all standard EHS practices and guidelines embodying a Zero Incident Culture.  Participate in Hear Hit program, safety impact, and training.
  • Maintain safe and efficient manufacturing equipment via adherence to DPMI’s and PM’s. 
  • Capable of performing all necessary changeovers and adjustments to maintain performance to hit throughput targets and quality targets.
  • Identify potential equipment problems, and report potential equipment problems to maintenance.  Work directly with other Line Personnel, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Leadership Team members to problem solve and correct production-related issues.
  • Comply with all TS16949 standards and quality requirements, including visual requirements. Stop and correct job operation if product quality is affected negatively.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area including equipment via plant 6S program. 
  • Follow procedures for maintaining machine fluids and procedures for proper management of waste products.
  • Assist and provide necessary training to current and new associates.  Ability to train on multiple pieces of equipment and processes.
  • Participate in EWT program and structured problem solving to achieve plant profit plant.
  • Equipment Requirements: Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, apron, and chemical face shield.  MSDS sheets.  Lockout/tag-out equipment.  Hand tools, blue prints, diagrams, schematics, measuring instruments and gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and equipment operations manuals.


Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 Miles  of Athens, GA will be considered for this position.
