The primary responsibility of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) leadership position is to provide strategic direction in the development / implementation of EPG’s SIOP strategy aligned to our standard materials management processes & practices. Inside of this scope is 1) coordination of the Demand Team, 2) coordination of the Inventory plan, and 3) management of the capacity plan.
This position will be responsible for designing and implementing a best-in-class SIOP process that drives quantifiable improvement across the organization. In order to ensure successful implementation, this position must establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders including financial controllers to link SIOP process with financial forecasts, business operations leaders to enable their enterprise to respond effectively to the demand and supply variability, and with the Sales and Marketing leadership to assist with statistical analysis of leading indicators and market trends.
Additional responsibilities include development, coordination and deployment of integrated materials management activities including demand forecasting, capacity planning, product scheduling, inventory policy development, material / product delivery, supplier replenishment and integrated logistics processes. Working closely with the VP/GMs, Plant Managers and plant SCM and Materials Managers, this position assists in establishing and optimizing inventory levels for defined levels of customer service. The Manager of SIOP acts as the operations champion to continuously improve and coordinate common inventory planning and management practices to achieve optimized total cost of delivery for both raw and finished goods. A high priority outcome is a transparent, effective inter-unit, cross-division/group process with clearly defined roles/responsibilities, steps, inputs, outputs, and supporting structure. In addition to inter-unit, external suppliers are also in scope for this role.
This position requires active coordination with the Marketing, Distribution Centers, Operations, Finance and Procurement teams for all ES business models including, Make-to-Stock (MTS), Assemble-to-Order (ATO), Make-to-Order (MTO), and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) businesses with the primary focus in ESSG being an ETO model.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Materials, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of materials or operations experience. Operations experience in Shop floor management, manufacturing engineering, or capacity management is required.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• PC literate: Microsoft Office (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proficiency in speaking/ writing English and Spanish Language.
Managerial Effectiveness (organizational development, managerial courage, etc)
Strong leadership presence with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Ability to promote and champion change and to drive change through influence.
Operations/Manufacturing/Supply Chain process and system knowledge
• Master’s Degree.
• Certifications in APICS (e.g. CPIM).
• Knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining replenishment systems, managing operations/planning functions, or other operations focused team.
