Maintenance Supervisor
location: Tczew, Poland
Eaton campus in Tczew manufactures transmissions and transmissions components for heavy and medium duty trucks, superchargers for passenger car engines, differentials for use in construction, agriculture and military vehicles, centrifugal clutches for use in mobile refrigerating units, plastic fuel vapor valves for passenger vehicles, clutches for various commercial vehicle applications. The site has around 650 employees and a production space of 25 000 sqm. Additionally Tczew is home to numerous corporate roles and functions including engineering, supply chain, accounting, IT.
Maintenance Supervisor supervises, installs and repairs equipment on the lines. Manage the routine maintenance of equipment and machinery. All of its work is carried out either preventative or emergency-maintenance. Uses computerized systems to schedule the work.  Works with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.
Essential Functions:
  • Managing employees according to internal & external Health & Safety Rules
  • Supervision of ongoing renovations and periodic  check-up of  machinery and tools
  • Supervision over the installation of new equipment
  • Optimizing the repair time of machinery and equipment
  • Analysis of the  failure causes
  • Parts, services and devices purchasing control
  • Coordinate and assist other departments and  external contractors at the field of Maintenance Department


  • This position is intended for an engineer with B.S Degree or higher in Mechanical, Control or Electrical Engineering 
  • Prefer to have 3 years’ experience in managing a team of technical employees
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience related to the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • The ability to carry out the technical documentation
  • Technical expertise in the field of machine tools and other mechanical devices and control systems
  • Must have good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High analytical skills
  • Bilingual Polish and English
  • Experience in plant Utilities operations and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience in rotating equipment repair, stationary equipment repair, project execution, and construction and installation techniques
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities
  • A working knowledge of typical preventative maintenance and repair activities is required
  • Must be capable of utilizing multiple sources of input on work priority and developing a detailed schedule in a timely manner that supports minimal production downtime and efficient use of maintenance resources
