Job Description

1.
 The Senior QA Analyst will represent quality assurance as a member of cross-functional project teams. 
  • The Senior QA Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and testing new or modified functionalities from multiple modules to verify that the application functions according to user requirements and conforms to established standards. 
  • The Senior QA Analyst will be involved in planning testing activities, creating test plans and test cases, executing test cases and developing automated test scripts for Eaton’s IT applications.
  • The Senior QA Analyst will also be collaborating with software developers, project managers, database administrators, and systems integrators in a rapid software development environment to deploy quality products on time.
 
  • Independently conduct testing activities for multiple projects
 
  • SME and Mentor team members
 
  • The Senior QA Analyst will primary Front Face projects in  Oracle, MAPICS, MFGPRO ERP’s area.

List the essential functions (i.e. key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
 
Create applicable Test Strategy/Test Plan for the project/domain
 
 
 
Understand and effectively analyze Oracle/MFGPro ERP functional requirements, Report design document, Functional design
 
Create effective testing artifacts (test scenarios, test cases, test scripts etc.) based on defined requirements
 
 
Create and Maintain the Automated Test Scripts.
 
 
Develop reusable and modular automated test scripts with Standard Eaton Tools.
 
Having knowledge of Oracle OATS Automated Testing(open Script) is added advantage.
 
 
 
Create and maintain traceability between requirements and testing artifacts and validate test coverage.
 
 
Review testing artifacts created by peers/team members
 
 
 
Create and maintain test data. Create test cases and test scripts and execute regression tests, functional tests, and smoke tests.
 
 
 
Maintain test results. Log and track defects effectively. Collate and report testing status, as applicable
 
 
 
Use common processes and tools to carry out testing activities
 
Build and share domain knowledge within and outside the team. Contribute to QA Community Practice.
 
Flexible to work on other application and testing projects.
 
Will maintain a global mindset during the testing process to ensure that the development changes do not impact the desired regions or divisions.
 
Will continually learn new advanced testing technologies and techniques to provide value to our business by enhancing self-knowledge and capability.
 
Independently conduct testing activities for 2 or more projects in the Oracle, MAPICS, MFGPro Apps vertical.
 
Handle multiple tasks on parallel projects.

Qualifications

  • Strong testing experience on an ERP Application  mainly the Oracle EBS Suite.
  • Experience on two or more modules like Order Management, Purchasing, Inventory, BOM/WIP, Services.
  • Exposure to two or more of the ORACLE ERP versions Like R11, R12.
  • Deep knowledge of the integration integrations between ORACLE/MFGPRO ERP and other applications like (SAP ECC ERP, Sterling warehouse etc.).
  • Provided excellent quality solutions and documentation including results. Maintained zero impact through regression testing in the global environment.
  • Demonstrated global mindset during the testing process to ensure that the development changes do not impact the desired regions or divisions.
  • Front face the end to end testing activities for ORACLE/MFGPRO ERP project through effective planning, estimation and implementing the testing plan.
  • Oracle OATS(Open Script) Automated tool knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Create and maintain traceability between requirements and testing artifacts and validate test coverage
  • Review testing artifacts created by peers/team members.
  • Create and maintain test data. Create test cases and test scripts and execute regression tests, functional tests, and smoke tests.

  • Strong planning, Multitasking and test management skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a fast paced environment

  • Strong understanding of various software development and testing methodologies
  • Strong understanding and experience in quality assurance testing process.
  • Experience with defect tracking and quality assurance software specifically, the HP Tools(ALM, Quality Center)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
4 Years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or Masters in Computer Application or related field
