Data Management Coordinator / Documentation Specialist
Location: Győr, Hungary
 
 
The Documentation Specialist handles the maintenance and processing of controlled documentation in compliance with corporate standards and best practices. This role interfaces with internal customers in Engineering, Supply chain, Controlling and Operations to ensure an understanding of documentation requirements, methods, associated tools and software. This role provides formal and informal training to promote proper documentation practices. The Documentation Specialist maintains the documentation control system through interaction with the ERP system (SAP) to implement changes including; the processing of documents, changing of revision levels, releasing part numbers, process steps, Bill of Materials assignments, documentation approval circulation and distribution.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for the oversight of the day to day operation of master data management.
  • Lead data definition, data conversion, report definition and testing in support of master data management initiatives, as well as business and IT projects.
  • Monitors the consistency, uniformity and accuracy of systems master data through data accuracy and integrity procedures.
  • Contributes to data management strategic objectives and continuous improvements.
  • Leads and/or contributes to special projects and other assignments as needed.
  • Evaluate change requests for correct and complete information and interface with requestor to resolve open issues.
  • Facilitate circulation of documents for approval and manage distribution and communication of approved documents
  • Monitor requests and prioritize to ensure that all requests are completed in a timely manner
  • Recommends opportunities for documentation process improvement and leads the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Provides technical support for master data maintenance across multi-department environments, including preparation of training materials and departmental procedures relating to these processes
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in a related function is required.
  • 5+ years of related and progressive experience in finance process and/or business systems controls
  • Proficiency in Excel required; experience with ERP Master Data Management, at least one Enterprise Application (ERP) System (ex: SAP, Oracle, IFS)
  • Knowledge of master data technology initiatives and core data management strategies/best practices.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to problem solve.
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to communicate to all levels of organization.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system strongly desired.

  • Coordinates the day-to- day processing activities for the Engineering Change Order System and logs new requests and tracks requests through the process.
  • Capable of identifying and correcting discrepant data sets or format within a database.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working between multiple assignments.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal customers.
  • Communicates with other departments to resolve problems and expedite work.
  • Generates engineering status reports for management and internal functional groups.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks within a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
