ADQS CoE within Eaton IT is responsible for application engineering, development, quality assurance and support. ADQS CoE support team is looking for a Analyst - IT in Oracle configuration team. The primary objective of this position involves (1) configure Oracle applications EBS modules with inputs from business analysts / functional analysts / governance teams (2) provide assistance to the queue owner in initial triage and ticket assignment activity (3) adhering to SLAs while executing the work (4) support identification of areas for continuous improvement help reducing number of incidents (4) involves working independently and/or on teams, working with peers, IT BRMs, CoE leaders, business users and governance teams (5) good understanding of end to end service management processes such as incident management, request management, problem management, change management and release management.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
2.    List the essential functions, which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
  • Configures manufacturing and financial modules of Oracle Applications EBS 11i & R12 referring to BR100 documentation.
  • Partners with business analysts, functional analysts and BRM community from Plan and Deliver CoEs and GFSS organization for solution delivery.
  • Proficient to use Swift Suite and / or similar applications for configuration activity.
  • Updates, maintains and at times owns BR100 and other related documentation.
  • Provides business planning and 3 point estimates on the work assignment.
  • Partners with Quality Assurance team for functional and impact testing.
  • Responsible for Change Requests for the configuration work stream.
  • Consults with project managers and IT managers globally to develop, define, and prioritize work assignments for application configuration and solution delivery.
  • Regularly communicates status, prioritization, success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance and demonstrating commitment to quality.
  • Works across a collaborative regional teams with strong personal management skills in a highly matrixed and virtual environment.
     
    The individual should be able to help identify “best practices” for leveraging existing architectures and improvements aligned with business and IT needs, working across regional and global teams.

Qualifications

Technical requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’  over all IT experience out of which minimum 3 years on Oracle applications EBS 11i and / or R12.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle applications EBS 11i & R12 deployment and rollout process
  • Good understanding of at least 2 business process cycles among order to cash, procure to pay, plan to produce and record to report processes.
  • Proficiency in configuring 5 or more modules from Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, Costing, Advanced Pricing, Bills of Material, Work in Process, Account Payables, Account Receivables, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Material Requirements Planning, Advanced Supply Chain Planning etc.,
  • Proficiency in using Swift Suite and / or related applications for configuration activity.
  • Experience working with stakeholders in a diverse regional footprint
  • Oracle certification in Oracle Applications EBS functional stream is plus
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing organization is plus
 

Non-Technical Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Understanding of Industry Standard Documentation Practices.
  • Experience in a client-facing role for a top tier or similar consulting organization is highly desirable
  • Enthusiastic about learning large and complex systems.
  • Results-driven with the ability to take initiatives, handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Good problem solving skills, logical process thinking and end-to-end system concepts - Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes.

Educational Qualifications

  • Four-year University degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

 

Nice to have skills / Certification

  • ITIL Certification.
     

Experience

  • 3-5 years.
  • Domain experience, preferably in manufacturing organization(s) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the roles of business analyst (BA) or functional analyst (FS) is a plus.

 

Travel

  • Up to 10%
