Supervisor - IT, Oracle Configuration

ADQS CoE within Eaton IT is responsible for application engineering, development, quality assurance and support. ADQS CoE support team is looking for a Supervisor - IT in Oracle configuration team. The primary objective of this position involves (1) owning & managing Oracle configuration (ERP & Financials) remedy queues (2) leading Oracle configuration team with hands on configuration activity, working on incidents and requests raised by end users of the applications & other stakeholders and addressing them while adhering to the SLAs set (3) identification of areas for continuous improvement and execution by following problem management methodology (8D / other EBS prescribed tools) and reducing number of incidents (4) involves working independently and/or on teams, working with peers, IT BRMs, CoE leaders, business users and governance teams.
Candidate should have complete understanding of end to end service management processes such as incident management, request management, problem management, change management and release management. Through their understanding of the service management process, identifying, measuring, reporting and communicating SLA’s with root cause analysis on breaches etc. will be key.
2. List the essential functions, which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.
Lead Oracle configuration team and service delivery by leveraging knowledge and experience in Oracle applications.
Configure / execute setups of Oracle Applications EBS.
Provide production support to address custom and standard development issues.
Provides strong support leadership by adhering to standard departmental policies, processes and documentation guidelines for support delivery.
Defines and communicate roles and responsibilities for team members.
Develops support resource plans including detailing work breakdown structures and critical path.
Consults with customers and IT managers globally to develop, define, and prioritize support work assignments and delivery.
Defines and gather operational and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Participate in benchmarking and comparison to industry standards to improve the activities of the IT department.
Engages customer and IT resources globally to drive ongoing operational efficiencies and process improvements.
Ensures quality delivery of team member support tasks in accordance to the plan.
Regularly communicates and reinforces status, prioritization and timing back to regional leaders and the global organization including the communication of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Works across a collaborative regional team with strong personal management skills in a highly matrixed and virtual environment.
Partners with the operations and business to ensure continued alignment and facilitate ongoing communication.
The individual should be able to identify “best practices” for leveraging existing architectures and improvements aligned with business and IT needs, working across regional and global teams.
Minimum 9 years’ over all IT experience out of which minimum 7 years on Oracle applications EBS 11i and / or R12.
- Good understanding of order to cash, procure to pay, plan to produce and record to report business processes.
- Proficiency in module configurations across various module of Oracle EBS.
- Ability to own and maintain BR 100 and other AIM documentation.
- Proficiency in using Swift Suite and / or related applications for configuration activity.
- Provides technical strategy and support IT framework to guide the successful configuration of Oracle applications.
- Passionate about talent development.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Understanding of Industry Standard Documentation Practices.
Experience in a client-facing role for a top tier or similar consulting organization is highly desirable
Enthusiastic about learning large and complex systems.
Results-driven with the ability to take initiatives, handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Four-year University degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Nice to have skills / Certification
Domain experience, preferably in manufacturing organization(s) is a plus.
Prior experience in the roles of business analyst (BA) or functional analyst (FS) is a plus.
