Job Description

  • Fault find, repair and maintain all manufacturing equipment and processes. This includes SMT, Conventional Wave solder, Conformal coating and final assembly
  • Generate and maintain machine programs for SMT, Wave solder, Conformal coating.
  • Analyse yield data and OEE to develop improvement activities
  • Initiate and implement Process Control measures throughout production.
  • Identify tooling improvements, and services required for production.
  • Monitor & improve maintenance programs within production. 
  • Undertake technical investigations and resolve manufacturing problems.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers to implement an improved process for prototype  phase manufacturing builds.
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing Engineers to ascertain the manufacturability of new and existing products.
  • Work alongside the Manufacturing Engineers to achieve a cost effective and reliable product.
  • Support & monitor prototype  phase batches through production.
  • To create an optimization plan for SMT manufactured boards that fulfills priorities set by the manufacturing plan.
  • Maintain machine spare parts and consumables to ensure machine uptime.
  • Generate and maintain written work instructions and standard of work  for operational use

Qualifications

  • In depth electrical / mechanical and software knowledge of manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair automated manufacturing equipment
  • A strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • High level of fault finding capability on electro/mechanical disciplines
  • Maintenance of production machinery using TPM principles
  • Computer literacy
  • Relevant electrical qualification
