Sr CI and Opex Engineer
A. Drive Continuous Improvement implementation in all manufacturing and administrative areas, and sustain the results achieved and Driving Continuous Improvement Efforts based on Key Metrics and BSC.
B. Providing Training and mentoring to Key contributors based on ELSS Criteria, Continuous improvement Framework, Rapid Improvement Event, and Belt Projects.
C. Participate in the performance management process and provide input to the appropriate functions in terms of career development interests.
D. Leading the CI Council as Chairman and Leading the Continuous Improvement Framework Initiative.
E. Leads ELSS and OpA Internal Audit team and conducts training and audits. Develops implementation plans with Business Team and Operational Leaders after annual audits. (Tactical Plans)
F. Facilitates the Plant CI Council that consists of Business Team Leaders, Staff members, and Operational Excellence Leaders. Council monitors ELSS, CIF, Cost out projects and Lean BSC metrics and redirects activities and resources as needed to exceed requirements.
G. Conducting ELSS Self-Assessment and support on others Eaton Facilities. Supporting EBS Deployment leading the ELSS implementation and Supporting EBS pull process
H. Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area. Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
I. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
A. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience required (Experience defined as to 5 years in manufacturing environment or 3 years of experience in a similar position desired)
B. 5 – 7 years experience in lean manufacturing engineering deployment in a plant, Ability to manage multiple projects/activities and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
C. Experience in project management
D. Detail Oriented
E. English / Spanish (English at conversational level)
F. Requires strong manufacturing process understanding, organizational, planning and communication skills
G. Black Belt preferred (Six Sigma certification )
H. Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel and constructively deal with people at all levels
I. Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement and Solid organizational skills
