Eaton located in La Grange, NC has an opening for a Set-Up Operator on 1st Shift
Essential Responsibilities:  
  • Perform all required duties to assemble, prepare, maintain and store molds.
  • Set-up various types of injection molding machines.
  • Assemble molds and components as specified in shop orders, routers and blueprints.
  • Clean set screw holes with taps and reamers.
  • Insert correct part number and quarter date dies in mold.
  • Place assembled mold in assigned press.
  • Adjust limit switches, hydraulics pressure, temperature settings, etc. per specifications and make trial run.
  • Make adjustments as necessary to maintain production of quality parts.
  • Break down, clean and store used molds and components.
  • Remove carbon, rust or excess rubber from molds, bushings and blocks.
  • Dress up pins and perform minor repairs.
  • Update and maintain visual information boards.
  • Assist supervisor in scheduling of presses.
  • Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.
  • Refer all unusual conditions or defective equipment to supervisor.
  • Use various hand tools, drill press, lathe, blasting machine, band reamer, pedestal grinder, hand cart, liquid nitrogen and measuring equipment in performance of duties.
  • Operate fork lift truck and perform molding duties as required to maintain flow of work through the molding area.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation is provided. Only candidates within 50 miles of La Grange, NC will be considered for this position.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to use inspection measuring equipment (micrometers, etc)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multiple process-manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
