Job Description


a.       Manage complete manufacturing operations effectively and efficiently to manufacture a quality product at low cost. Responsibility includes production, planning, scheduling and plant maintenance. Making sure purchase & materials and expenses control & monitoring the same regularly. Deliver products on due date as per the production and sales plans.

b.       Own and Contribute in meeting high5 of the plant. Develop culture in the plant around meeting the high5.

c.        Act  as a facilitator for meeting dynamic demands of manufacturing development, cost optimization by monitoring productivity, fixed & variable cost , rejection and process development

d.       Ensure that works are carried out as per TS 16949 systems requirement, EQS system requirements and ISO 14001 / safety requirements. Lead the implementation of ESP.

e.        Monitor, co-ordinate & control activities of personnel reporting to him. Drive and motivate people for continuous improvement activity.

f.        Communicate Company policies to the staff to assure satisfactory product performance at minimum cost.                           

g.       Create an atmosphere conducive for innovations, improvements and new adaptations. And ensure that staff is responsive and   vibrant for new assignments.

h.       Identify areas of improvement and re-designing the existing system to enhance operational efficiencies. Develop Lean culture in the plant.

i.        Establish quality standard, implementing EQS system to enhance quality of product and reduce rejection and rework levels through continual improvement

j.        Establish goal for all department in alignment with organizational goals. Drive the goals down in the organization.

k.       Lead by example implementation of lean manufacturing system in the shop floor.

l.        Lead MESH elements Category

m.     Manage employees to drive a performance culture. This includes performance management and rewards/recognition.

n.        Leadership role in manufacturing related problem solving by bringing in resources from Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, SCM and others as needed.

o.       Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System.

p.       Take part in formulating annual Profit Plan for the plant.

q.       Managing the new machine installation project activities right from the conceptualization stage to the execution, involving finalization of specification, scheduling, monitoring, trials & commissioning.

r.        Support new product development

s.       Identify and develop talent within Manufacturing organization

t.        Support IR strategies along with HR

u.       Drive APEX for shop floor employees

v.       Coordinate planning for meeting customer  schedules

w.      Proactive customer visits for quality and schedules

x.       Lead the Plant Maintenance activities for Nasik plant with 3rd Party contractor team for contracted performance 


DME / Degree in Engineering, (MECHANICAL).


18+ year’s experience in manufacturing and management in valve industry. Rich experience in lean manufacturing, industrial automation, plant operations and decision making.

Familiar with APQP, PPAP & FMEA etc.

System implementation, promoting team work and process improvements.

Strong negotiating and contractual skills to be able to lead and motivate

Strategic awareness and a strong customer orientation with a passion for delivering value to customer.


Experience in the following areas - Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Project Management, TS 16949, and ISO 14001.
