Eaton’s Power Motion Control Division is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd Shift. The Production Supervisor will be based at our Searcy, AR facility.
 
Position Overview:  
The primary function of the Production Supervisor is to coordinate, lead, and motivate all assigned employees to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals (high five metrics), while developing a culture of ethics, values, and continuous improvement.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and accountability.
  • Manage department operations and prioritize production requirements to meet customer delivery and quality commitments.
  • Facilitate training and workforce flex activity in coordination with other department supervisors.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill and competency development.
  • Work with the Production Manager and leadership team to determine staffing requirements/strategy.
  • Communicate company policies, procedures, and guidelines and ensure they are consistently practiced.
  • Coordinate/maintain employee attendance records, overtime equalization, vacation, training and time-off requests.
  • Own the overall execution for a high five metric including: (1) Be a champion for the metric, (2) Lead the production function to improve performance, (3) Develop and own the appropriate data collection, tracking, and communication, (4) Maintain the manufacturing QOS board for this metric.
  • Conduct daily and monthly department meetings regarding department/plant performance, communications, and goals.
  • Monitor machinery and equipment and initiate maintenance work orders, as required, to ensure efficient, effective and safe working conditions.
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work processes are followed and countermeasures are implemented as appropriate.
  • Fully engage workforce and drive change by empowering employees with decision making, problem solving tools, and involvement.
  • Direct continuous improvement teams in working on projects that make a positive impact in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture.
  • Lead cross functional teams to achieve rapid business improvements (Kaizen Events, Rapid Improvement Events).

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. 
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • CNC machining experience.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification.
