Job Description

Eaton Corporation's Vehicle Group has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator as part of their clutch manufacturing facility located in Auburn, IN. The primary function of this role is to support the deployment of the continuous improvement tools and processes of the Eaton Business System, including Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) in support of overall plant objectives.
Essential Functions:
  • Contribute in the advancement of the organization in the Operational Assessment Process, using the Eaton Business System Tools
  • Execute the initiatives of the organization in the development, implementation and improvement of the Eaton Lean Systems throughout the operation, with all the documentation and metrics required
  • Analyze organizational metrics related to the Eaton Lean Six Sigma System on the Balanced Scorecard (relevant to position) and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close the gaps at an operational level
  • Adhere to the plant safety Zero Incident Culture policies and procedures
  • Support strategic plan for the plant to exceed high 5 metrics & Eaton Business Excellence/Operations Assessment/Eaton Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Framework requirements
  • Facilitate the Continuous Improvement Council that consists of plant leadership. Council monitors Eaton Lean Six Sigma and Lean Balanced Score Card metrics and redirects activities and resources as needed to exceed requirements
  • Plan and deploy training to support CI Manager and Tool Champions
  • Forster an environment of A3 problem solving
  • Lead Rapid Improvement Events, train kaizen team leaders to facilitate events, coordinate and drive a structured closure process on follow-up activities
  • Support plant cost out goals as established by profit plan
  • Support the sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Lean in a manufacturing organization
Position Criteria:
  • Strong leadership skills, necessary to lead others not in direct reporting relationship
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strong time management skills
